Attorney Julio César Cavero

Raised in New York City, Julio César Cavero obtained his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of New York at Binghamton. After moving to Miami and being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1996, Mr. Cavero developed extensive experience in litigation, legal research, and writing. He began his career as a Volusia County Assistant Public Defender litigating jury and non-jury trials in the domestic violence division. Following this invaluable opportunity, Mr. Cavero decided to hone his skills in his own community by becoming a Judicial Clerk in Miami-Dade County. This position afforded him insights into the daily operations of the judiciary as he aided in the adjudication of cases before the civil, family, criminal, and probate court divisions. 

Mr. Cavero then landed his dream job as House Counsel for Point Blank Body Armor. He was responsible for assuring corporate compliance with federal and state regulations and statutes, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Immigration and Nationality Act. He also represented management in disputes before the Department of Labor and Employment Security. Seeking out a new challenge, Mr. Cavero began to practice workers’ compensation law representing claimants, primarily defending the City of Miami Beach.

Fed up with ruthless billing requirements, office politics, and unnecessary protocols, Mr. Cavero established his firm in 2003, and broke out of his traditional areas of practice in order to pursue an area that was near-and-dear to his heart: Real Estate Law. He became a licensed Title Agent and dedicated himself on a full-time basis to real estate transactions. Mr. Cavero’s experience resolving title issues, preparing transactional documents, and assisting landlord-tenant disputes has proven to be an invaluable asset allowing him to evolve into a seasoned practitioner in the real estate field.
